Car scrapping scams have been on the rise in the UK and victims have found themselves on the receiving end of fines of as hefty as £5000! Car Owners can be Liable
If you sell your car and it is used in illegal activity you can be held liable because you are still the legal owner of that vehicle that has been used. Therefore when a fine is levied by the DVLA it will land on your doormat because you are still technically the legal owner of the vehicle!
