So, how does the start of spring effect our driving we hear you say? Well to start with the sun is low in the sky – make sure you have some sun glasses
handy to avoid getting blinded. Another regular feature of the spring weather is frequent rain showers. These can make the roads pretty slippery and
quite treacherous – slow down. When driving through puddles or flooded areas (this really can happen in the spring with sudden downpours) always test

With the sun shining and the lighter mornings and evenings upon us more and more bike users take to the roads, along with children out playing (and sometimes
not mindful of the roads around them) and a lot more horses and riders – be vigilant and always give them plenty of room when passing. Also watch out
for deer – especially in the early mornings and evenings – they will be leaving the areas where they have spent the winter months and looking for new
feeding places. Hitting a deer could be fatal – be aware!

Be aware of the many potholes on our roads. Check your tyre pressures weekly to minimise damage to your car and tyres. If you are unfortunate to hit one
at speed it may affect your wheel alignment – get it checked out by your local Volvo and Toyota Independent Garage as soon as possible to avoid any
further damage. If you are able to stop safely and take a picture then do so and report it to your local council along with the bill for any repair
work required on your vehicle – you may be entitled to compensation for the damage.

Now people will be starting to cut their grass etc, if you are unfortunate to suffer with seasonal allergies check that the medication you are taking does
not make you drowsy. If it does avoid going behind the wheel as this will impair your reactions.
