Glare from the sun is often made worse by having a dirty windscreen which will increase the likelihood of motorists becoming involved in accidents as a result of poor visibility. You should therefore make sure that you keep your vehicle stocked up with windscreen wash on a weekly basis so that this process can be done whilst on the move.
However, wiper blades that are worn out (and a common MOT Failure) will only exacerbate vision problems and negate the benefits of using windscreen wash. Make sure that you replace your wiper blades as soon as they are required, a relatively inexpensive part of the vehicle but an incredibly important part none the less. It has been known that worn wiper blades fly off the vehicle when in use leaving the metal fixings scratching your windscreen causing expensive damage. Where possible try and use your correct manufacturers blades - they will last longer and fit better than cheap off the peg versions on the market. Seek out your local independent garage for expert advice and fitting. Most will happily fit them for free!
