Most modern cars will have an ABS light on the dashboard, including the Volvo and Toyota. ABS stands for Anti-Locking Braking System. So this is a really
important component of your Volvo or Toyota. If you see this light come on, on the dashboard of your Volvo or Toyota you must get it seen to right
away. This light will always come on when you initially start your Volvo or Toyota but then it will go off. If it stays on or starts to flash after
you start your journey then this will indicate there is a fault within the system. So we hear you asking, OK so what could be the fault? Well it could
be something relatively simple like there is some dirt or debris that has made its way to one of the sensors or it could be there is a more serious
issue with your Volvo or Toyota such as the actual ABS Unit has failed and you have no proper braking system. The best thing to do is get the car immediately
to your local independent Volvo or Toyota garage. They have diagnostic equipment that they will be able to attach to your Volvo or Toyota to diagnose
exactly where the fault lies and advise you from there. Please do not ever ignore this warning light – it is there to warn you of a fault with your
Volvo or Toyota – brake failure can be catastrophic! Be safe not sorry!
