The blog this week is about how to tell if your Volvo or Toyota needs an air con service.
With the temperatures starting to rise and the British summer starting to emerge its time to see if your air con is working correctly. Our blog today
will tell you how you can identify whether you need to get your air con serviced or re gassed. Read on to find out more:

You can check yourself at home whether your air con is working properly. Just start your Volvo or Toyota and turn your air con to full power. If the
air is coming out properly and its icy cold then its working fine. If there is a bad smell this could be an indication that there could be a leak
or the filter needs changing. If you use your air con throughout the winter to de mist your windscreen there should be no build up of bad smells
as no moisture would have been sitting in the system going stale and mouldy. You can also listen under the bonnet to the compressor – it should
make a clicking noise to indicate that it is engaging and disengaging correctly. If you find that the air is not coming out cold, there is a loss
of pressure from the vents or there is a bad smell then it is time to book in for further investigation with your local independent garage. Please
do not assume it needs a re gas without investigation because if you have a leak you are throwing money down the drain. Always make sure that the
garage you take it to has the correct certification to carry out air con re gasses as there are a lot of cowboys out there. Happy motoring folks!
