Tip 1:Β
Use your accelerator smoothly and progressively. Always avoid harsh acceleration - we are not F1 drivers remember! When you can, stop using your accelerator and let the momentum of the car take you forward, such as when you are approaching roundabouts and traffic lights.Β
Travelling down a hill with your foot off the accelerator can save a considerable amount of fuel. If you are in the correct gear also it will mean you are saving your brakes because you are not 'riding' them down the hill. Happy Motoring!
