Meet the Team: Andy Lorimer

Every week we will be doing a getting to know the team blog. We have been in business for 23 years and have had staff come and go over the years but have never done a meet the team blog. This week we are shining the spotlight on Andy Lorimer. Andy has been with us for 4 years and is one of our drivers. He loves to bust a move or two on the dance floor – fancies himself as a bit of John Travolta. Seriously though, he is a much appreciated member of the team! We asked everyone the same questions…..it’s just a bit of fun!

This is from the 1979 movie Monty Python’s Life of Brian. It’s spoken by a character named Reg, leader of the Peoples Front of Judea, during a heated debate about Roman occupation. The line is followed by a long list of contributions the Romans made to their society. 

What's the most interesting place you've ever travelled to & why?
West Berlin – for the history of WW2

What's your go-to karaoke song?

What's your favourite way to unwind after a long workday?
Walking the dog with my wife and granddaughter

If you could switch jobs with anyone for a week, who would it be?
A Fighter Pilot

What's the strangest thing you've ever eaten?
Calamari

If you could be any fictional character, who would you be and why? 
Batman – to clean up Gotham City

To fly a fighter jet – how cool would that be!

What's the funniest thing that's happened to you recently?
After stubbing my toe recently, I had to tone down what came out of my mouth because my granddaughter was there! 

What's the worst piece of advice you've ever been given? 
To leave Royal Mail Letters and transfer to Parcelforce!

If you could be any animal for a day, which would you choose and why?
A Golden Eagle – for the exhilaration of flying!
Golden eagles are large, powerful birds of prey, predominantly dark brown with a golden sheen on their heads and necks. They are known for their impressive wingspan, sharp talons, and strong hooked beak. 

What's your favourite holiday and why?
Lanzarote – had the best family holidays there

What's a fun fact about yourself that people might not know?
I like to go snorkelling

If you could turn your belly button into a real button, what would it do? 
It would turn my beer belly into a 6 pack!

Porsche Carrera

Working with a great bunch of guys and having a great boss
