Keeping your Volvo or Toyota in good condition doesn't just save you headaches – it also saves you money in the long run. We have stressed so many times over the years that preventative maintenance is always way more cost effective than reactive repairs.
Whilst the cost of an MOT test isn’t substantial, it is something that you have to do every year. However, the cost to you should your Volvo or Toyota fail its MOT as a result of you neglecting your regular servicing and maintenance can be a bitter pill to swallow.
Things like having to replace tyres that have uneven wear before they really needed to be changed can run into hundreds and hundreds of £’s. If you had maintained them, got the tracking done (we have so many pot holes to contend with) and regularly ensured that they had the correct inflation you would get maximum use out of them before they needed changing.
Missing your regular servicing can also result in expensive repairs – things like timing belts not being changed at the correct interval opens you up to all sorts of expensive repairs. Not checking your fluid levels regularly also opens you up to some serious repair bills should things go wrong!
Lastly, an unmaintained vehicle will always command a lower resale value than one that has been looked after properly. It really is a no brainer to regularly look after your vehicle – it is after all a very big purchase. Can you afford to replace your car should it be uneconomical to repair?
