ACC UK Ltd, Winners of The Independent Garage of the Year 2015 & Inspire Customer Service Excellence 2016 Award,
are Servicing, Repair & MOT Specialists based in the heart of Farnborough, Hampshire. We like to give you hints and tips on maintaining your Volvo
or Toyota to help reduce breakdowns and expensive car repair bills.

The blog this week is about what does the Electrical Fault Light mean, if it comes on, on the dashboard of your Volvo or Toyota?

This warning light can be different in every car but normally it looks like a picture of a car battery. It will normally come on when you start your Volvo
or Toyota but then it will go off – this is your Volvo or Toyota self test. If this light however comes on and stays on it could mean that the electrical
charging system in your Volvo or Toyota is no longer working properly. The charging mechanism for the car battery is the alternator. If the alternator
is faulty or the drive belt to it snaps, then it will not be able to do its job. The longer you continue to drive your Volvo or Toyota, the more your
car will use up the remaining juice/charge in the battery and eventually your Volvo or Toyota engine will die. The best thing for you to do is take
action immediately – book your car in at your local independent garage – they will be able to check this issue out for you and advise accordingly.
Do not wait until your Volvo or Toyota dies – you could face even more costs – such as towing or being taken to a garage that is not your regular garage
– which could be more expensive. Not to mention the inconvenience of being without a car or late for an appointment or work due to a breakdown.
