Tip 1: Buy Your Petrol & Diesel At A Reputable Service Station Why? Well some petrol stations don’t have pump filters, making you and your vehicle
more vulnerable to dirty petrol & diesel. Other petrol stations may not mix the alcohol and fuel properly — or worse, possibly water down
their product.
If you are unsure it doesn't hurt to ask whether the petrol & diesel you are buying is filtered at the pump and if the petrol station has a policy
about changing their pump filters regularly. If you don't get the answers you are looking for, find another petrol station to use. Once you have found
a petrol station you can trust stick to it.
Tip 2: Don’t Fill Up If You See The Re-Fuelling Tanker If you happen to see a re-fuelling tanker on the forecourt filling the tanks at your local
petrol station, come back another day or go to a different petrol station. As the service station’s underground tanks are being filled with new petrol
& diesel, the turbulence of this action can stir up sediments from the bottom of the storage vessels.
Sediment in your petrol & diesel can clog your engines fuel filters and fuel injectors, causing poor performance and possibly necessitating costly
repairs. ACC UK Ltd now stock fuel additives that can be added to your tank on a regular
basis ensuring optimum performance and engine care - ask at reception for details. Happy Motoring!
